Why you should let me organise your gulet holidayI have worked for over 15 years on gulets having been captain for various British holiday companies. I am an expert in the aegean and mediterranean areas, having sailed all along the Turkish coast and the Greek islands. Also I have proven experience from repeated requests to organise gulet holidays.
Frequently asked questions. What is a gulet? A gulet is a motor sailing boat, typically built of pine and was used by sponge divers and fishermen to transport their catch. It is now a 'floating hotel'. Tthe furnishings you get are reflected in the price you pay! What can I expect? If you opt for a simple gulet then you will have a room with a double bed, an en-suite with english style toilet and combined basin/shower. Plumbing varies! There will be limited room to store clothes. Most of the socialising is done on the deck where there will be room to eat, dance, sunbathe and relax. -even under the stars. You will have full board except all drinks which will have to be paid for (including water) at the end of the week. A more luxurious gulet will usually have a separate shower, more room in the cabin and extras like hairdryers and air conditioning. Air conditioning cannot be 'on demand' as it is provided by generators which makes it very noisy. Wine and water may be included with the meal and other drinks might also be part of the package. The gulet will be better appointed. Where do we go? Your itinery will be discussed with you via my email address. Can we go to Greece? Anything is possibe but not everything is probable. I will be honest about what can and cannot be done. Please email me or text me with further questions.
